Recently, I had to code out the Adaptive Headlights in my 335i, and while I had NCS Expert running, I decided to add a couple of cool features to my e92 that it didn't come with. I've listed my favorite coding options below, as well as the full list, so you can see which options are available for your car! Keep in mind, some coding options don't work for certain year cars, for example my 2010 car cannot enable the mirror folding with the key fob, but previous year cars can. Today, I wanted to talk about BMW Motor swaps, and the implications thereof. If you're familiar with The Bimmer Barn garage, you'll know we currently have an E36 332ti, as well as an E39 M5 Touring. I personally built these cars myself, and have also done a few other swaps in my past. So I heard some rumors and pictures online about this compass mirror retrofit, and everyone claimed that it was a plug-n-play upgrade to the older model BMW's, like my E39 Touring (also works on E46, E38, E60, E90, maybe other's I'm missing). These compass mirrors also come standard with Homelink, and Auto-Dimming, so you get all the features. Now, installing the new mirror is just half the job, as finding these can be a little tricky. See, the LCD screen is hidden beneath a 2-way mirror, so spotting it if you're hunting at the junkyard can be a little tricky....
